Surveys given to patients with the goal of learning more about the care they’ve received can be extremely useful in determining weak points in a hospital or outpatient facility’s operations. One such survey that stands to have a large effect on the way that Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery centers operate is the recently-approved OAS CAHPS survey, put forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Slated to solicit around 300 mandatory surveys per facility in 2017, with optional implementation in 2016, these surveys will help facilities to glean an overarching picture of patient perspective of the care they provide, as well as overall patient satisfaction with their experience.
With increasing consumerism in the medical field bringing about a greater focus on determining what makes patients feel comfortable and confident with the care they have received, medical providers are naturally asking themselves “What can we do to help?” The good news: as a customer-centric business, so is ImageFIRST New York!
Our customers and their patients are at the heart of our business, and we’re always looking for ways that our services can better benefit our customers and, thus, the patients they have dedicated their lives to helping. So, what are a few ways ImageFIRST New York’s healthcare laundry services can positively impact our clients and bring about greater positive feedback about their facilities and staff?
Our 5-Point Product Quality System. We designed our system to provide the ultimate in consistently remarkable service and products. We offer the most comfortable materials available for everything from linens to lab coats, with the highest sanitizing standards (beyond even industry best-practices), individually packaged gowns, and independent laboratory testing. Patients may not be able to see our high standards in cleaning practices, but with our Bright White Standard, they’ll know that their linens are the crisp, bright white they expect from a facility that cares about their health and well-being.
Same-Day Linen Rescue. We understand the unpredictability of the healthcare field, and running out of fresh, sanitized linens due to an influx of patients can spell disaster. Our Same-Day Linen Rescue allows our clients to contact their dedicated Customer Advocate by 10 a.m. the morning of, and we’ll bring you the linens you need to ensure your patients can be cared for in a timely, sanitary manner.
The Plush Promise. We designed our exclusive Comfort Care™ line of patient apparel with the coziest, warmest, highest-quality material, all to better cater to patients’ needs. It may seem like a small thing, but surveys we’ve sent out to over 1,000 patients across several health care systems nationwide have shown that these higher-quality gowns can increase patients’ perception of a facility by 40% or more. Still on the fence? Implement our Comfort Care products; if patient perception doesn’t improve by 50%, compared to the last garments you used, we’ll give you one free month of the service.
