The Holiday Season: A Time to Give Back

The holiday season provides us with an opportunity to give thanks for everything we have in our lives. This time of year also allows us to reflect on the previous 12 months and look over the things that occurred since we last celebrated the New Year.

At ImageFIRST New York, it’s been a busy year. We’ve delivered thousands of healthcare uniforms in Manhattan, and we’ve also given back to our local community in meaningful ways. Looking back on 2016, ImageFIRST was able to participate in dozens of acts of charitable giving on a national level, thanks to hundreds of team members that were happy to make a positive impact on their communities.

Our location was a big part of that! We partnered with our New Jersey location to seek out more opportunities to give back.

In November, ImageFIRST New York and ImageFIRST New Jersey partnered with Pocono Health Medical to donate supplies to the homeless shelter at Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church in East Stroudsburg, PA. Our donation to the shelter included clean blankets, wash cloths, towels and pillowcases, items the charity very much needed.

ImageFIRST New York and New Jersey teamed up again to support Summit Medical with their annual coat drive. Once all the coats had been collected, ImageFIRST cleaned them and donated them to a local pantry. Upon pickup, the pantry remarked on the cleanliness and presentation of the coats, relieved that they wouldn’t need to pay to have them cleaned and could spend the money on more supplies for those they feed.

In one more collaboration, the New York and New Jersey teams donated 15 comforters to a charity called Celebrating Our Veterans through a local Virtua location. The charity focuses on providing needed items to veterans that are having difficulty getting back on their feet. The comforters went to the homes of those who couldn’t afford the expense of purchasing a new one.

Our community giving efforts produced more than a few smiles on the faces of our associates and those who they helped - and we look forward to doing it again next quarter. To learn more about everything we do, from our community giving to scrubs and uniforms in New York City, visit
